Stravinsky had the idea for his final and only full-length opera when, one day at the Chicago Art Institute, he discovered William Hogarth’s series of eight paintings, The Rake’s Progress. Here is it performed by the singers of the Academy’s Atelier Lyrique with the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra conducted by James Gaffigan.
